Show Customers More Videos at the Dealership:

Automotive Sales Training Tip: Show customers more videos while they're at the dealership - keep selling!

Hi there. I’m Hector Bosotti and welcome to Wye pro tips. Today’s tip is for salespeople Start using videos with your customers at the dealership! When your customers are left alone for the first time while you’re getting a vehicle ready, keep them busy by showing them a dynamite vehicle video review – get them excited about the vehicle they’re about to experience. This is called selling!

If you don’t occupy their time, they’ll get on their mobile devices and start looking at other vehicles, websites or find a nasty review about the vehicle you’re about to show them. If you’re working in a new car dealership, research and save vehicle video reviews on your favourite web browser, tablet or mobile device. If you work in an independent used vehicle dealership or a used vehicle department, ensure that you research a great vehicle video review for each new arrival. These videos need to be at least 8-10 minutes in length to keep your customers occupied. Just think how much more emotions you will have stimulated in your customers’ minds!

Another tip using videos is showing the crash test videos that are available at IIHS.ORG – that’s the insurance institute for highway safety. When you get back from a test drive and have a seat in your office you can say this to your customers. “You know Mr & Mrs Jones, there was one feature that I was unable to demonstrate to you and I’m sure you didn’t mind – it’s the air bags deploying. I have a terrific video from the IIHS that I am certain you will appreciate. It will show you how safe you’ll be in your new car.” Be sure to implement this strategy and watch your closing rate improve.
